The first Air Jordan was produced for Michael Jordan in November 1984. Designed by Peter B. Moore, the sneakers were released during Jordan's sophomore season with the Chicago Bulls. Interestingly, the Jordan 1 prototype was never actually worn by Michael Jordan on an NBA court and was subsequently banned by then-NBA Commissioner David Stern due to its lack of white in the design.

This papercraft sculpture pays homage to the original prototype, created before the iconic "Wing" logo was introduced. While made of paper, the aim is to embody the spirit of Michael Jordan as an athlete. This 2.5-dimensional sculpture leaps off the canvas, reminiscent of the way Michael soared through the air.
